Gr和 Valley State University's Master of 公共卫生 (M.P.H.)学位, offered 由 School of Interdisciplinary Health, prepares students by enhancing career opportunities through the acquisition of quantitative 和 qualitative problem-solving research skills, 服务, 和 experiential learning. Public health professionals promote good health 和 prevent disease within communities. M.P.H. provides graduate 和 community-based education 和 research grounded in social justice to help meet these goals.
M.P.H. 程序 is offered in two formats:

How can GVSU's 公共卫生 graduate 程序 best prepare you for your career?
A few of our 校友 came together for a special webinar to discuss ways they are using their MPH degree in the field 和 how their training at Gr和 Valley State University prepared them for success. Hear about some of the great work they are doing, as well as their advice for those on their way to becoming public health practitioners.
Why Study 公共卫生 at Gr和 Valley?

The 公共卫生 M.P.H. 程序 is a minimum of 48学分. Upon completion of the 五个学期 M.P.H. 程序, graduates will be qualified to earn voluntary professional certification by taking the National Board of 公共卫生 Examiners Certified in 公共卫生 (CPH) Exam.
Undergraduates accepted into the Allied Health Sciences (B.S.) + 公共卫生 (M.P.H.) or Exercise Science (B.S.) + 公共卫生 (M.P.H.) 结合程度 程序s begin their MPH courses in the fall of their senior year. A minimum total of 126 credits must be completed for the combined degree.

M.P.H. students regularly hold graduate assistantships with various GVSU departments 和 centers. GA position openings are posted on The Graduate School's GA job openings 网页. 公共卫生 typically employs 1 second-year M.P.H. student as a full-time graduate assistant.
Note: Gr和 Valley does not charge a higher tuition rate based on residency. Tuition is based on the 程序 in which you chose to enroll.

Secure your seat early by applying before the Priority Admission application deadline, 11月1日. Priority 博天堂官方 applicants receive their decision by early December.
Undergraduate students in GVSU's Allied Health Sciences or Exercise Science can apply in the fall of their junior year (after the completion of 55+ credit hours) for a 结合程度 程序:

Accreditation Review Notice
2016年6月, the Gr和 Valley State University Masters of 公共卫生 程序 received accreditation from the Council on Education for 公共卫生 (CEPH), an independent agency recognized 由 US Department of Education to accredit schools 和 程序s of public health. The current accreditation term extends until July 1, 2024. Therefore, the MPH 程序 is undergoing a review 由 CEPH for re-accreditation. Part of this process includes the provision of a third-party comment period, which allows anyone, including students, 校友, 教师, 工作人员, community 和 practice partners, 和 members of the public, to share relevant information about the GVSU Master of 公共卫生 程序 directly with CEPH.

New Agreement Offers Direct Admittance to LSSU 学生!
We are thrilled to officially announce a new partnership between GVSU's Master of 公共卫生 程序 和 Lake Superior State University! 学生 in LSSU's College of Health 和 Behavior will now have the opportunity to be directly admitted into our MPH 程序. This is the second such MPH admissions partnership, following an agreement finalized in 2021 with Northern 密歇根 University. Read more about the partnership agreement on GVNext.
